NTA 2025 rules: WHT at 10% applies when rent is paid by a company or organisation. The tenant (payer) deducts WHT from the rent and remits to the NRS. Individual-to-individual rent payments do not attract WHT. The landlord receives a WHT credit note which can offset future tax liabilities.
